Slovak passport is one of the strongest in the world, granting visa-free access to most of the world. However, you need a visa to enter a few countries, like Russia or the United States. You do not need a visa to enter the UK. Dubai will grant you a 90-day visa upon arrival, and to visit Canada, you only need an eTA to enter through their airports.

All passports are ranked based on their strength. This is a rank based on how many countries you can enter quickly. This means without additional entry requirements such as visas. The Slovak passport is ranked very high on this index, landing its position as the 30th strongest passport in the world.

According to the Arton Capital website PassportIndex, the Slovak passport is among the top 30 most powerful passports.

This passport holder has visa-free access to 106 countries, with 51 countries having a visa-on-arrival request. And only 34 countries require a full-on visa to enter.

Visa-free access means that the holders of Slovak passports do not need a visa to enter a country. While visa-on-arrival means a permit is required to enter the country, you can obtain it upon arrival.

Does Slovakia Need Visa to the USA

In short, yes, as a Slovak citizen, you need a visa to enter the United States. The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava provides visa services to those seeking to enter the United States temporarily and those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence there.

As stated on the official website of the US Embassy in Slovakia, you will also need proof of vaccination to comply with the newest guidelines and requirements from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

This information, however, is only if you are planning a tourist visit. If you plan to travel for work in the US, you might need a whole other set of paperwork. 

  • Tourist Visa

The B-1/B-2 visitor visa is for people traveling to the United States temporarily for business (B-1), pleasure, or medical treatment (B-2).

Generally, the B-1 visa is for travelers consulting with business associates, attending scientific, educational, professional, or business conventions/conferences, settling an estate, or negotiating contracts.

The B-2 visa is for recreational travel, including tourism, visits with friends or relatives, medical treatment, and fraternal, social, or service activities. The B-1 and B-2 visas are often combined and issued as the B-1/B-2.

  • Work Visa

If you want to work in the U.S. temporarily as a non-immigrant, under U.S. immigration law, you need a specific visa based on the work you will be doing.

Most temporary worker categories require that your prospective employer or agent file a petition, which must be approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the United States before you can apply for a work visa.

  • Student Visa

Before applying for a visa, all student visa applicants must be accepted and approved by their school or program.

Once received, educational institutions will provide each applicant with the necessary approval documentation to be submitted when applying for a student visa.

Does Slovakia Need Visa to Canada

Suppose you are planning to visit Canada, depending on the form of entering the country. In that case, you are either required to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or not to have it.

As stated on the official site of the Canadian government, you must have an Electronic Travel Authorization if you plan on visiting via a flight to any of the Canadian airports. You also need it to transit through any of Canada’s airports.

If you plan to enter Canada by land or sea, you can do so without Electronic Travel Authorization. To apply for an eTA, you can visit the official government site and apply before your trip.

Does Slovakia Need Visa to the UK

If you are from Slovakia, you are not required to have a visa to enter the United Kingdom. If you are a Slovak tourist wanting to visit the UK, you might get asked a few questions at the border checkpoint. However, there is no need for any further documentation apart from your passport. 

Depending on your age, you might also need a letter from your parents or guardian filled with their contact details and consent for you to stay with the person stated in the letter.

Does Slovakia Need Visa to Dubai

When visiting Dubai, Slovak citizens do not need a visa beforehand. You will automatically be given a visa at the airport in Dubai. This visa lasts for a total of 90 days from the first entry. It is not extendable.

There is a special requirement while visiting the UAE (United Arab Emirates) as a whole, which is that your passport must be valid for more than six months since your entry to the country. This information is sourced from the official government websites of the United Arab Emirates.

The Slovak passport is considered one of the strongest passports in the world, granting its holder visa-free entry into 106 countries. It also lets you enter 51 countries with a visa-on-entry or eVisa.

This also applies if you only need to transit through any airport in Canada. If you want to enter Canada via land or sea, you do not need anything but your passport.

Lastly, you do not need a visa to visit the UK or Dubai. For the UK specifically, you are not required to have a visa, but you need a letter from your parents or guardian if you are below 18.

And in the case of Dubai, you are automatically granted a 90-day visa upon entering the airport. A particular requirement is that your passport must be valid for more than six months from the day you enter the country. 

Overall, traveling from our little big country is pretty simple, without too much paperwork needed for almost anywhere you could want to travel to.
